i have to admit how stoked i am that not one, but two of my friends from way back when found their way to this corner of the net. looking forward to catching up on the goings-on of mary {i dare you to not laugh out loud at some of the posts from this girl...you are seriously a great writer, M...keep it up}, and emily whose family gets cuter with each new addition.

happy monday!
i know mondays aren't always the most loved day of the week, but i have a lot to be excited about this week.
in no particular order:
it's beautiful outside...looking forward to some walks throughout the day
mondays usually go by pretty quickly at work
after many long hours on my hands & knees this weekend, our house is sparkling {and most of it done without the use or harsh chemicals...more on that later}
we only have a 3-day workweek this week...because...
we're going to new orleans on thursday!!
{ok, so the last 2 were definitely in a particular order, you caught me}
YES heading to nola early thursday morning for an extended weekend while we're down there for a friend's wedding. so. excited.
we've staked out a few fun things to do: renting bikes so we can eat and drink our way through the city somewhat responsibly, scouted a delish-looking brunch place for sunday, and found a cute little boutique hotel within our budget and still in the french quarter.
we have friday and saturday nights covered with the rehearsal dinner and wedding, but we will be there from thursday through monday, so if you have any suggestions for things to do & see, i am all ears (:
